The Tamaqua Fire Department visited the Tamaqua Elementary School today to go over Fire Prevention. Last years Fire Prevention which is normally held in the fall, was cancelled due to COVID. But, at the end of the school year we were invited up for a quick Fire Prevention Event.
TFD Fire Prevention 2021
This year, members of TFD went over fire prevention, smoke detectors and other fire safety. The theme this year was “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety!”, more information can be found on the NFPA web site HERE. Members were also on hand to answer questions and provide tours of the Tamaqua ladder truck and various engines from each of the four fire companies. Special thanks to the American Fire Co of Lansford for providing their bounce house.
